NOW KAVA EXTRACT 250mg is a relaxing herbal blend containing 30% Kavalactones.

Kavalactones, the chemicals produced from the root, provide kava’s health benefits. These chemicals have been shown to reduce convulsions and also contain pain-relieving properties, according to the University of Maryland Medical Center. Kava has also been used to treat attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder or ADHD, migraine headaches, muscle pain, chronic fatigue syndrome, urinary tract infections and certain respiratory tract infections. A study published in the “Canadian Medical Association Journal” in November of 2003 stated that scientific evidence from randomized, placebo-controlled, double-blind studies have concluded that kava is an effective treatment for anxiety.

Kava Kava Extract (Piper methysticum) (Root)(Standardized to contain min. 30% Kavalactones) 250 mg, Organic Eleuthero (Eleutherococcus senticosus) (Root) 100 mg. Other ingredients: Cellulose (capsule), Cellulose Powder, Magnesium Stearate (vegetable source) and Silica.

RECOMMENDED DOSE
ADULTS Take 1 capsule 1 to 2 times daily as needed. Daily usage not to exceed 4 weeks.
